Design of a 36-storey tower set to add aesthetic quality to the expanding city. The conceptual ambition is to give character to a conventional metropolitan object by exaggerating and breaking away from aesthetic tropes of the modern tower as a vertical glass extrusion. Through the combination of a striated black-and-white pattern disrupted by a pseudo-diagrid, our conclusion is a singular object flickering between form and pattern, rendering it an ambiguous whole where the clashing elements of verticality and the oblique cut enable a dynamic variance in the unit types and its presence on the site.
